Yvonne Veronica Pitcher was born in Georgetown, Guyana, March 11, 1933 and died peacefully at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, October 26th, 2025 at the age of 92. She is survived by her daughter Pauline Pitcher, cousins, Rose Da Camara, Tony Da Camara, Jean Jacques, and Pamela Massiah. She also leaves behind her Godson Nathan, and many friends. Preceded in death by her mother, Elsa Smith, aunt, Olga Da Camara, cousins, Olive and Carlos Smith and childhood friend, Greta Roberts. She spent her formative years in Guyana and later moved to England in the pursuit of work opportunities.

She immigrated to Canada in 1966 and reunited with her mother and daughter in 1969. Her working years were spent primarily in the insurance industry as a clerk typist where she made many lasting friendships. Once retired, she volunteered with a non-profit charitable organization, the Smiles Foundation as a Fundraiser and Event Coordinator. She worked there for several years and her network of friends expanded. The position also provided her with the opportunity to learn basic computer skills.

A stellar dancer, musicphile, and dedicated fan of the "Mama Mia" musical. She was kind, a good listener, a loyal friend and selfless mother whose love was unwavering.
