Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend - Yolanda Piccoli passed peacefully away at Humber Meadows Long Term Care Home on August 31st, 2026.

Born on March 26th, 1932, to her loving parents in Toronto, Ontario, Yolanda lived life with the biggest heart and the kindest smile. She had a special way of making everyone feel loved, welcomed, and cared for. Whether this was by cooking meals fit for an army of 40 when only 5 were sitting at the table, making cookies and sweets to cheer people up, or chatting on the phone for hours giving advice of simply a listening ear - Yolanda lived her life to help others.

Yolanda met her devoted husband, Arrigo, in 1955 and from then on, they were inseparable. Married in 1957, they built a life filled with love and adventure. Arrigo was by her side and caring for her until her until the very end. He will miss her dearly for the rest of his life.

Although she took great pride in her work as a customs and fleet manager in the electronics industry, Yolanda dreamed of becoming a mother for her entire life, and her children were her greatest pride. She raised her children with grace and kindness, and continued to be there for them all the way into her 90s, whether that was by cooking, calling, cleaning, or taking care of the grandkids.

Her greatest joy in life was being “Nonna” to her circle of grandchildren. Being Nonna meant she could spoil and love without holding back- and she certainly did. From phone calls almost every day, to opening her house for her grandchildren to visit whenever they wanted, to the best snacks and pasta the world has ever seen - there was never and will never be a better Nonna in the universe.

Though family was always what mattered most to Yolanda, she had a great many hobbies. She will always be remembered for her love of movies, TV, and literature. She loved game shows, and spent every evening watching Family Feud with her husband. They would always guess the answers together. She was a volunteer with the Red Cross and Blood Donors Clinic for many years, and was a decorated bowler. Yolanda was also a valued member for the Società Femminile Friulana for decades. She loved to knit, read, nap, shop, and snuggle on the couch with her grandkids.

Yolanda was a faithful Catholic, and even in her final days held her mother’s rosary close to her heart. She shared her love of God with everyone in her life and truly believed that He was the light that guided her through life.

Predeceased by her parents, Domenico and Restituta (Rita) Iannucci, her brother, Gaetano (Guy) Iannucci, and her lifelong friends, Gina Tonon and Enis Turrin, we know they were all waiting to have a dance party with her when she finally reached Heaven.

Missing her forever are her loving husband, Arrigo Piccoli, her two children Paul Piccoli and Angela (Anthony) Butera, her grandchildren Karissa Piccoli, Kayla Piccoli, Catherine Butera, Calista Butera, and Christina Butera, as well as a giant circle of extended family and friends.

Forever would not have been enough time. Nonna, you will never be forgotten and you will live on in every one of those who loved you
