蕭元榮先生Yen Yung Shaw
August 16, 1927 - March 28, 2013
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Yen Yung Shaw (蕭元榮先生) on Thursday, March 28, 2013 in Toronto, Ontario at Scarborough Hospital – General Campus surrounded by the love of his deeply devoted family. Born in Anyue ( 安岳), Sichuan province, China, August 16, 1927, he is survived by Ming Mye, his beloved wife of 49 years, who loved and cared for him tirelessly, his devoted son Peter (Jacqueline), and his loving daughters Linda (Craig) and Jane (Eric). “Yeh Yeh” to his grandchildren Beth, Claire, Sidney, Iola and Justin. Yen Yung was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, a gifted calligrapher and sculptor, an accomplished mechanic and businessman, and a retired Lieutenant Colonel of the national army of the Republic of China. Special thanks to our friends for their love, care and support and to the wonderful staff at both Scarborough Hospital - Birchmount Campus (4D Medicine Unit) and General Campus (Palliative Care Unit). Friends will be received at Simple Alternative Funeral Centre, Elgin Mills Visitation Centre, 1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill, (905) 737-1720, on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. with service to follow at 10:30 a.m.
