It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Philip Laval Yee Chong Ng Tang Fui on February 10, 2026, at the age of 84.
Born on November 28, 1941, in Mauritius, he was a respected businessman in Vacoas and the devoted cornerstone of the Ng Tang Fui family. Known to all as Ah Yee, he dedicated his life to the family grocery business and was admired for his strong work ethic, resilience, and charisma.
Beloved husband of Lu Pin. Loving father of Noelline (Edward), Jean-Michel (Jenny), and Nathalie. Proud Koung Koung to Laura, Melanie, Kaitlyn, Matthew, Trevor, Aiden and Simon. Dear brother of Aline, Serge, Jean-Claude, Suzanne, Roselyne, and Tony; predeceased by Jean-Pierre.
He had a great love for ballroom dancing, was a passionate supporter of Liverpool F.C., and a devoted believer in Pere Laval. He will be remembered for his generosity, laughter, and deep love for his family.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
