Willis Uldis Osis, beloved big brother, and friend to many, passed away peacefully from cancer on March 19, 2026 at Baycrest Palliative Care Unit.

Predeceased by his parents, Ruta Osis (née Kraujite, 2009) and Vilis Osis (2019). Dearly missed by his sister, Ieva Osis, and her husband, Alex Ilchenko, and Gunta in Latvia.

Willis was a proud member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades and worked as a drywall taper. During high school he had the honour of being part of the Queen's Own Rifles of Canada.

Willis earned his Bachelor of Arts in 1995 from York University focusing on his interest in history, geography and international relations. Willis loved traveling, collecting stamps and coins from his adventures. From early childhood he always had an interest in model trains and airplanes.

Many thanks to the Baycrest team, knowing that he was so well cared for is a huge comfort for his family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Willis’s memory can be made to St. John’s Latvian Lutheran Church, Baycrest Palliative care, or Humber River Hospital.

The funeral service was held on Saturday, March 28th 2026.
