It is with great sadness to announce the passing of William Wei-Yuen Ho of Unionville at age 81. Surrounded by family, he died peacefully at the Hill House Hospice on the eve of Sunday January 29th, 2012. He fought valiantly but lost his life to a short battle to cancer.
Survived by his beloved wife, Sylvia Sheue Ping (Wang) Ho, and cherished father (and father-in-law) of Mary Talip (Nasim Talip) and Jeanne McGregor (David McGregor). He will be terribly missed by his grandsons, Sean and Mitch McGregor, whom he loved dearly.
Born in Kiangsi, China on May 5, 1930, he left home as a teenager for flight school, then to the Taiwan Air Force and eventually became a commercial pilot for Far Eastern Air Transport. After immigrating to Canada in 1972, he worked for the Canada Post starting as a mail sorter. Until his retirement, he held the position of Quality Control Manager.
