It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of William Douglas McDonald after a courageous but brief struggle with cancer. Doug passed away peacefully on May 7th, 2015 at St. Michael's Hospital. Doug leaves to mourn his wife Mary McDonald. He is survived by a brother, Ian (Christine) and niece, Nicola. Doug enjoyed sports and doing cryptic crosswords. He was knowledgeable and articulate about art and antiques. He was a high-school teacher and taught Physics and Chemistry at Pearson High School. Special thanks to all the staff and doctors on Floor 9 of Cardinal Carter Wing at St. Michael's Hospital for their compassionate and professional care. Friends may visit at Mount Pleasant Visitation Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto, Ontario M4T 2V8 on Monday, May 11th, 2015 after 10:30 am followed by a chapel service at 11 am.
