TOMIN, William Dimitri "Bill" - January 4, 1941-March 14, 2014 "Bill" lived a wonderful, full life. He had a fighting spirit and youthful attitude that kept him strong and inspirational right up until the very end when he lost his fight to cancer. It is with great sadness we, his family and friends, must say goodbye! Never a greater loss than a loving father, proud grandfather, husband and friend to all. Peacefully and comfortably, surrounded by and in the hearts of his family, William "Bill" passed away in the early morning of Friday, March 14, 2014 at the young age of 73 at Scarborough General Hospital. Now William "Bill" will be reunited with his late beloved wife Mary "May" of 52 years. Dear father of Darlene Tomin, Katherine Capko and her husband Michael and Darren Tomin and his wife Kathleen. Proud and loving grandfather of Shaylyn, Kendell and Tamara Capko and Grant, Luke and Jack Tomin. Will be sadly missed by his sisters Carol Tomin and Pearl Caissie and his brother Steve Tomin and their families, Roy and Bonnie Weekes and their families. He also rejoins his parents-in-law Jim and Isa and their son Donald Kendell. His parents Alice and Dimitri Tomin, sister Mary and husband Danny DeMonte, sister Gladys and husband Armand Nero and sister-in-law Trish Tomin. He will be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends. Bill was a retired TTC Driver, Badge #3411, after a 37-year career of service. Special thanks to Chaplain Pat Cook and the doctors and staff of Scarborough General Hospital for all their care during this trying time in his life. Family and friends will be received at Pine Hills Cemetery, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough, ON, 416-267-8229.
