<div itemprop="description">TERRY, William &ldquo;Bill&rdquo; <br /> <br />Passed away peacefully, at Brampton Civic Hospital, on February 13, 2014 at the age of 78. The son of Clarence and Hilda Terry, he was one of eleven children. Loving husband of Maria Requena. Former husband of Patricia Terry (deceased). Dear father of John and his wife Dianne, Sharon and her husband Remo. Loving grandfather to Chris, Caitlin, Dannielle, Marisa and great grandfather to Isabella. He was also a special father to Tony, Maggie, Brian. <br /> <br />Bill spent many years active in the Brampton community; he spent much time around the hockey arenas as a parent, coach and even President of Chinguacousy Minor Hockey Association. <br /> <br />In his early years he worked for Stelco and Thomas Pen. When the family moved to Bramalea, he then worked for The City of Brampton in Parks &amp; Recreation and Parking Control. Bill loved his Timmy&rsquo;s; in his retirement he worked part time at his favourite shop making deliveries of Tim Horton&rsquo;s donuts. <br /> <br />Bill could often be found playing on his Gameboy, his favourite game being Tetris. As a grandfather, he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play hockey, and loved hearing about their successes. Family meant a lot to Bill and he cherished the time he spent with everyone. <br /> <br /> <br />The family will receive friends at THE SIMPLE ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL CENTRE &ndash; MISSISSAUGA, 1535 South Gateway Road (Dixie Rd, 2 lights south of Eglinton) 905-602-1580 on: <br />Wednesday, February 19th - visitation from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m., with a Funeral service to be held in the chapel immediately following visitation, at 6:00 p.m. A reception will follow. <br /> <br />Memorial donations may be made to the Tim Horton Children&rsquo;s Foundation.
