It is with great sadness that the family of William “Bill” Middleton announces his passing on Friday, November 28th, 2025, at the age of 90. He passed peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Phyllis, his partner every day through sunshine and rain. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and enduring memories.

Bill was predeceased by his parents, John and Jean Middleton, who now welcome him home. He will be dearly missed by his brothers Robert (Carol) and Donald (Cathie), and his children Kim (Angelo), Philip Sr. (Michelle), Lynn (Luciano), and William “Bill” Jr. (Kristine), each of whom will carry forward his love of life and memories of time spent together.

Bill was also the cherished Grandpa to his grandchildren Andrew (Kristina), Julia, Stephanie, Christine, Honor, Daniella (Andrew), Trent, Kevin (Jessica), Philip Jr. (Venus), Michael (Chelsey), and Sarah (Carter), and great-grandchildren Olivia, Benjamin, and William, whose achievements and laughter brought him endless pride.

Retired from a distinguished career as an actuary and executive at Confederation Life, Bill was more than a gifted mathematician. Bill loved good meals, clever jokes, sharing songs, spending time with his family, relaxing at the cottage, watching a hard-fought Blue Jays win, or cheering on the Leafs from his favourite seats at centre ice. Above all, his greatest joy was being able to share his life with his one true love, Phyllis.

We will always love and miss you. You are forever in our hearts.
