It is with great sadness that the family of Wendell Elbert Lutes announce his passing on Monday March 30, 2026.

Wendell was predeceased by his wife Erma (2022), who he was married to for 65 years. Wendell will be lovingly remembered by his four children, Allen (Cathy), Terry (Pauline), Kirk (Brenda) and Carl (Belinda). He is also deeply missed by his eight grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Wendell was born on Lutes Mountain in New Brunswick on February 10, 1938. In 1975, Wendell and Erma moved their young family to Brampton and continued to make lasting and cherished memories. Erma and Wendell enjoyed going to flea markets, yard sales and local venues where they would find items to add to their specific collections. Wendell was an avid golfer and enjoyed many early mornings at Mayfield Golf Course.

He worked at Acadian Platers Co. Ltd. for 37 years as a Plater. His strong work ethic and family values were appreciated by his family. Wendell enjoyed watching his kids play sports, going on family vacations and was a lifelong Toronto Maple Leaf fan!

Wendell will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
