Wen Chih Chong 張謝文枝夫人
December 4, 1940 - November 25, 2012
With great sadness the Chong family announces the passing of our beloved wife and mother. Peacefully on Sunday, November 25, 2012, Wen Chih Chong (née Hsieh) passed away after a courageous and hard-fought battle with brain cancer. Adored by and loving wife of Chee Kiong Chong and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Vee Na Chong and Arkady Krapivinsky, and David Wei Sen Chong and Melissa Kirshenbaum, Wen was also the joyful and admiring grandmother of Julianah Farah Chong and Nathan Alexander Chong. She is survived by her four sisters, two brothers, and fifteen nieces and nephews in Taiwan, and as well through marriage 3 sisters-in-law, 2 brothers-in-law, and 14 nieces and nephews across Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, and the United States.
As a nurse and teacher, Wen excelled at caring for and educating others and enjoyed being an avid gardener and horticulturalist. She will be missed by all those who knew her for her kind and generous spirit, her bright smile, and her unwavering commitment to her family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in the memory of Wen Chih Chong may be directed to the Trillium Health Centre Foundation, Complex Continuing Care designation (trilliumgiving.ca).
