Walter was born in Poland on April 2, 1928. He met his wife Metalies in Germany just after the war. They married and had two children. Immigrated with his family to Canada in 1953. He continued to build his life here, was always a very hard worker, he was a truck driver for most of his working life. One of his greatest accomplishments was a property purchased up in Muskoka. It was 100 acres of land, with a swamp with a river running through it, and several run down cabins. They transformed all of the cabins into cottages, built a dam and created a lake. The property is known as Pine Valley, and is the centerpiece of the family today.

Walter was the beloved husband of Metalies (predeceased), beloved father to son Peter (predeceased) and daughter Angie and her husband Garry. Cherished grandfather to Kim and her husband Tony, Laura and her husband Josh, and Jessica and her partner Marc. Great grandfather to Cody, Marissa, and Nicholas and his partner Tyla. Great great grandfather to Mason. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by many family and friends.
