In memory of

Wai William Law - 羅偉先生 1933 - 2025

We share that our beloved Wai (William) Law completed his earthly journey very very peacefully on June 1st, 2025 at home with his wife (Yuk-Ching) and eldest child (Rebecca) each holding one of his hands, and as he left he was clasping back and smiling. And then he slept.

His beloved wife Yuk-Ching (Jane) walked with him through a journey of 68 years. On earth, he lives on in his children, Rebecca (Gordon), Esther, David (Joan) and James (Sasha), and in his grandchildren David (David & Joan), Nikhita and Maya (James & Sasha). He nurtured by example. He was a godly man, walking with God all his life, spending time with Him each morning, receiving God’s rich supply every day. From humble beginnings he became an aircraft engineer. In simpleness, he brought forth a family who knows and walks with God. With all that he accomplished, his priority while on earth was still always to glorify God in everything he did. He always gave thanks to his Father above, who lived within him. He taught us to enlarge our hearts and remain open to others, which he demonstrated throughout his life by example. Wai was generous and kind to everyone. He set an example for all of us to follow.

He will be forever treasured in the hearts of all those who knew him. He had a large circle of relatives and friends including some in the United States, Hong Kong, Australia, Thailand, and the United Kingdom. Many of those are also his brothers and sisters in Christ.

We are inviting family and friends to witness and participate in Wai William Law’s Celebration of Life at York Cemetery & Funeral Centre on Saturday June 7th, 2025 at 10 am with a visitation beginning at 9 am. It is a celebration of his life journey of 92 years, walking with God from the time he was a teenager. Since it is a celebration, guests are requested to wear either blue (his favorite colour), red, purple, gold, or any combination thereof.

This is a temporary good bye. Wai’s journey continues with God.

Dear Gord, Rebecca and the extended Law family.

Greg and I are deeply saddened to hear of Mr. Law’s passing. He lived a long wonderful life with a dedicated loving family who ensured he had the best quality of life especially over the past few years. So glad to know he passed peacefully in his own home with family. God bless you all as you adjust to life without him but hoping you take comfort in your beautiful memories of a dear father, husband, father-in-law, uncle and grandfather.

We are deeply saddened to hear the passing of Mr. Law. We will always remember his soft spoken voice and gentle smile. His engineering work in building his own gazebo, trailer, his pear picking and catching device and much much more will not be forgotten. We are thinking of you all at this difficult time and sending our deepest sympathy to the Law family!
