Hui Wai On (March 10, 1945 – January 6, 2026), a native of Puning, Guangzhou, lived a life marked by hardship, sacrifice, and faith. After her father’s death when she was 14, she became the pillar of her family, devoting herself especially to caring for her mother, whom she faithfully supported for many years, including nine years of hospitalization in Canada. Through her selfless dedication, her siblings were able to pursue their own lives, making her a blessing to her family.
Despite a difficult life, Wai On was sustained by deep friendships—first through close companions in her youth, and later through loving support from her church community in Toronto, who cared for her during illness and ensured she was not alone even in death.
Above all, Wai On found her greatest blessing in her faith in Jesus Christ, believing in the promise of eternal life. Having endured much on earth, she is now at rest, free from suffering, and enjoying God’s peace and glory.
