黃朱惠梨太夫人 Wai Lei Wong
April 17, 1944 - February 18, 2016
Wai Lei Wong (maiden name Chu) passed away peacefully on February 18th, 2016 with her family by her side at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Canada. Born in Guangxi, China on April 17, 1944, Wai Lei had a long career in the garment & textile industry where she worked as a Seamstress. Wai Lei leaves her loving husband, Chun Sing after 50 years of marriage. The two of them traveled extensively before immigrating to Canada in 1969. Loving mother to Linda (Victor), and her two sons Henry and Danny and loving grandmother to Marcus and Isabella. She was sharp and witty who loved to tell stories and had a great sense of humour.
Wai Lei was an avid gardener who had a green thumb for both indoor and outdoor plants. She tended to her flower and vegetable garden from spring until fall with June being one of her favourite months of the year when her garden of peonies came into bloom.
A service will be held to celebrate Wai Lei’s life on Thursday February 25th, 2016 at Pine Hills Cemetery and Visitation Centre. Visitation starts at 9:00 am followed by the service at 10:00 am.
The family would like to recognize and express their heartfelt thanks to the medical team at St. Michaels Hospital for the exceptional care and support we received.
