<div itemprop="description">Viola died peacefully on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at Rouge Valley Health – Ajax Site. Predeceased by the love of her life John, she is survived by her daughter Diane (Grant), step-sons Leonard (Brenda) and Gordon (Patty), her brother George, six step-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Viola was born in St. Kitts and immigrated to Canada in the 1960s. A master mathematician, Viola worked for CP Express and Transport for more than 30 years. Viola’s passion was family, friends and Jehovah. She will be remembered by her many friends for her humour, intellect, kindness and unwavering faith. Thanks to Dr. Bitonti of Ajax Pickering Hospital and Dr. Tal and Rosemary Fine of St. Joseph’s Hospital, Toronto, for their respectful care of Viola. Friends will be received at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre, 1057 Brock Road, Pickering, on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 3 to 8 p.m. A memorial of Viola’s life will be held at the Kingdom Hall, 1302 Finch Avenue, Pickering, on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 2 p.m., followed by light refreshments.
