The phone call came early on Oct 21st from a Bendale Acres staff member informing us that Valeria had passed away in her sleep. She had a relaxed and peaceful look on her. We are grateful to them for the care that she received there as an Alzheimer’s resident for the past eight years.
Valeria enjoyed being the devoted wife of Lőrinc (dec.), mother to three sons, Steven, Larry and Andrew (dec.), as well as the loving relationships with in-laws, nieces and nephews. Her legacy not only includes fond memories of her welcoming, caring nature, hospitality, generosity and helping hand, but also a passion for creating beautiful fine needle-point. She was a seamstress since childhood and produced much fine apparel for family, friends and clients.
Her devotion to the Catholic Church was her anchor in life. She dedicated much of her free time volunteering to help them any way that she could.
Many of us will remember her motto; ‘take every day as it comes and try to make the best of it’.
Valeria is missed by family, friends and colleagues here in Canada, the USA and Hungary.
Rest in well earned peace.
