<div itemprop="description">Uwe Scharge passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. He is survived by Catherine, his wife of 47 years, and his children Sheree, Inge (Mark) and Jens (Alysia). <br /> <br />There will be a visitation at York Visitation Centre on Tuesday, September 15 from 5 PM to 8 PM and an Open House at the Scharge residence on Wednesday, September 16 from 3 PM to 8 PM. <br /> <br />A special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and care workers who looked after Uwe, as well as friends and neighbours who supported the family through a difficult time. <br /> <br />Memorial donations can be made to Scarborough General Hospital (please see the Make a Donation icon below) or another hospital.</div>
