U-Chop Mok was born on November 5, 1920 in Guangdong, China, and passed away peacefully at age 95 on March 10, 2016 surrounded by his family.
A man as humble and caring as U-Chop Mok will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved him.
50 years ago, U-Chop made the courageous decision to immigrate to Canada. He wanted to reunite the family with his eldest son who was attending Queen's University. Although he knew no one, he was dedicated to keeping the family together and watching over them. U-Chop was always doing his utmost to provide for his loved ones, his strong family values evident to many as he overcame numerous obstacles to also help both his wife and his brother's family immigrate to and settle in Canada. U-Chop later sought greater opportunity for the family by relocating to Toronto, where he spent the duration of his long and fruitful life.
Although U-Chop has left us, he will be survived by 5 children, 9 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren - 3 generations of Moks and growing.
You will always be in our memories, and your selflessness never forgotten.
