Tung Choi Louie 雷楝材先生
June 21, 1927 - July 27, 2014
Tung Choi Louie, passed away peacefully at Toronto East General Hospital on Sunday July 27, 2014 with his family by his side.
He was born on June 21, 1927, in China, and adopted by (Frank) Loy Won Hoo Louie and Chow How (née Lee) Louie. On January 16, 1954, he married Sui Heung (née Lee).
He became a Canadian Citizen and lived in Toronto. Before retirement, he worked for 40 years and became the head chef at Lichee Gardens, one of Toronto’s first Chinese restaurants, when it was the grandest of them all.
He is survived by his beloved wife Sui Heung and children Lana (Brian), Ogden, Shirley (Derrick) and Danny (Sina). Proud “Gung Gung” to Leslie, Michael and Dustin; and proud “Yaya” to Mitchell and Cameron.
Family and friends are welcome to the visitation, funeral service, burial and reception.
