Tim (Thomas Timothy) McGinnis
May 26, 1938 - July 18, 2026
Tim McGinnis (Thomas Timothy) born May 26, 1938 passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday July 18, 2026 to be reunited with the love of his life, his wife, Noreen McGinnis (nee Bawden) who passed on February 26, 2026.
A talented artist and hobbyist Tim enjoyed photography, drawing, painting and making wooden crafts and furniture and wooden toys for his grandsons. He was an avid reader and lover of movies and music.
Throughout his 88 years Tim was an innovator in the field of business forms creation and printing including masterminding the development of form/label combinations on a single press. Before retiring he ended his career running his own company Future Forms and Systems.
He loved and enjoyed the company of friends and family, especially his many years at the family cottage watching his boys and their friends, and eventually his grandsons and their friends, grow summer by summer at the lake learning to swim, fish, waterski and more.
Tim loved photography and documented his many years of travel with his wife Noreen including trips across Canada and the U.S., Africa, Costa Rica, Scotland and Ireland, European river cruises, New Zealand and Australia plus their many many trips to Disney World in Florida
A loving and devoted husband he did all he could to support his wife Noreen through her final years of declining physical health and after her passing, valued the ongoing support of his family and friends Jim & Carol Doyle and neighbours Santiago & family, Barb & Terry, and PSW “Afra” Adwoa Afrakoa.
Tim was the proud and happy father of, and is survived by, his sons Mark & Todd. He was Father-in-Law to and ever-grateful for his Daughters-in-Law Anne & Tracy, grandfather of his two grandsons of whom he was especially proud, Patrick (and his fiancee Lauren) & Brian (and his girlfriend Emma). He was also happy grandpa to his “grand-kitty” a 19 year old orange tabby named Burnsey.
The family is not planning a funeral. Tim will receive a private celebration of life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers anyone wishing to express their support could donate to a charity of their choice in his name.
Of particular relevance to Tim’s memory, support could be directed to any cause that supports people living with Diabetes or wildlife conservation (in particular, the preservation of habitat in Canada for the Common Loon).
