<div itemprop="description"> <p> Thomas Randall (Randy) Child, passed away on October 23, 2011, surrounded by loved ones. We are deeply saddened by the sudden and unexpected death of our Randy. <br /> <br /> Randy was born in Toronto, Ontario to Thomas and Dorothea Child. He married the love of his life, Heather Elaine Brown on October 11, 1980.&nbsp;&nbsp; In addition to his father (Tom), mother (Dot), and wife Heather, he is survived by his sister Cathy and her husband David, his sister Laurie, niece Megan and his aunt Jeanette (Jan).&nbsp; Randy also leaves behind his extended family including his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Shirley and her husband Dan, Randy and his wife Janey, Wayne and his wife Joan and Ray and his wife Patsy. Randy proudly leaves behind his nieces, great nieces and great nephews. </p> <p> He had a dedicated career at the Toronto Transit Commission for 34 years where he held several different management and professional positions in the Operations branch. </p> <p> Since retiring, Randy and Heather have spent the winters living in Fort Myers, Florida where Randy actively pursued his love of golf.&nbsp; This community of friends has given them many happy memories.&nbsp; Randy&rsquo;s sense of humour and his dedication to his family and friends will never be forgotten.&nbsp; He will be sorely missed and will remain in our hearts forever. <br /> <br /> A private gathering will be held on Saturday October 29, 2011 from 3 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at The Simple Alternative located at 1535 South Gateway Road, Mississauga. </p> <p> <em> In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Randy may be made to the Canadian Heart &amp; Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice. </em> </p> </div>
