In Loving Memory of Thayakaran "Thaya" Thavarajasingham
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Thayakaran "Thaya" Thavarajasingham, who departed this life surrounded by the love and memories of family and friends.
Thaya was the beloved son of the late Vijayaratnam Thavarajasingham and the late Leelawathy Thavarajasingham. He was a devoted and loving husband to Lakmini Kongahakotuwage.
Thaya will be remembered as someone who truly lived life to the fullest. He had a remarkable ability to bring people together and warmly embraced and entertained friends from all walks of life. His genuine kindness, calm and cool demeanor, generous spirit, and unwavering friendship made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. The love he shared with his family and friends, and the countless memories he created, will remain forever in their hearts. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of friendship, laughter, compassion, and generosity will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
During the later years of his life, Lakmini was his steadfast source of strength and companionship. She cared for him with remarkable love, patience, and dedication, devoting herself tirelessly over the past four years ensuring he received the very best care. Her unwavering commitment inspired admiration and amazement among family and friends alike. Despite the challenges they faced, she continued the traditions that meant so much to Thaya—welcoming friends, entertaining guests, and keeping his spirits high with warmth, laughter, and companionship. Her selfless devotion allowed Thaya to face life's challenges with dignity, comfort, and the enduring joy of being surrounded by those he loved.
He leaves behind his loving sisters, Thayalini, mother of Bobby and Guru, and Suganthini and her husband Nallaratnam, together with their children Sanjutha and Vineshan. He will also be deeply missed by his parents-in-law, Rukmani Dias Kongahakotuwage and Laksiri Kongahakotuwage, and by his brother-in-law Sachith Kongahakotuwage and wife Blessy Kongahakotuwage.
