Passed away peacefully at the age of 94, with family by his side at the Sunnybrook Veterans Care Wing in Toronto. Beloved husband of Vera Irene (Swatuk) for 72 happy and treasured years. Cherished father of Teddy (Sandy), Gary, Greg, Susan (Brian) Sapier and Leslie (Clay) Duncan. Proud JaJa of 10 grandchildren Stephen, Kimberley, Tracy, Lucas, Jared, Jesse, Nile, Jazzmin, Chelsea, Spencer and Big JaJa of 9 great-grandchildren Madison, Colton, Logan, Sophie, Ryan, Ayla, Catrina, Mackenzi and Tyenna. A proud and supporting member of Gamblers Anonymous Toronto for the past 46 years. Also an avid golfer who took up the game in his senior years and enjoyed immeasurable pleasure at Annandale Golf Course, honing his unique golf swing in an ongoing quest to break 100. Special thanks to the wonderful health care team, staff and volunteers at Sunnybrook Veterans Care for their compassion, care and support. Cremation has taken place. A service of remembrance will be held at at PINE HILLS CEMETERY & VISITATION CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229) on Saturday, July 6th at 12:30 p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior to service. A reception for family and friends will immediately follow the service. Private family interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to the charity of your choice. Online condolences and tributes may be offered to the family at www.etouch.ca
