With great sadness we announce the passing of Ted Boduch on November 13, 2012.

Ted was a devoted husband to Gwen and loving father to Jim, Tom, Robert, Walt, Julie and Janice and father-in-law to Connie, Cathie, Kelly, Diane and Rick. As father of six, grandfather of thirteen -- Derek, Jennifer (James), Ryan, Adam (Melissa), Craig, Megan, Eric, Sara, Scott, Meaghan, Caitlyn, Breanne and Taylor -- and great-grandfather of three -- Avery, Taylor and Jason. Ted enjoyed large family gatherings and relished those happy times, often still talking about the event with a smile, several weeks or months later.

Ted worked tirelessly for most of his life to support his family. During a career that spanned several decades, he wore many hats – most notably as an electronics technician, business owner and teacher.

Born in Poland, Ted came to Canada at the age of six. After a number of years in Sherbrooke Quebec, he relocated to the Toronto area where he met Gwen. In sixty years, they were never apart. After suffering a debilitating stroke in 2005, Ted spent his remaining years as a resident of Cummer Lodge, where Gwen visited and cared for him every day for the last seven-plus years of his life.

A family service will be held on Sunday November 18th in Pickering, Ontario. This will be followed by a celebration of life to be held in the spring -- Ted's favorite season. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to the Heart and Stroke Foundation is greatly appreciated by the family.

The family would like to express its sincere gratitude to the staff, volunteers, and others on 2 South at Cummer Lodge. THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts. Your years of gentle care and compassionate service meant more to Dad and all of us than you'll ever know. God bless you all.
