Taketoshi Yoshizaki, August 11th 1930 – April 26th 2019, at the age of 88, passed away peacefully in his Brampton home as he had wished.
He leaves on the afternoon of April 26th 2019 with his loving family at his bedside. Survived by Taeko, his wife of 55yrs, two sons Raymond and Hubert and his daughter Genny. He is also a proud grandfather of Keira (Tomomi), Kayleigh (Satomi), Connor (Tatsuo), Madeleine (Keiko) and Nathan (Yuuki).
Taketoshi with his wife Taeko left Japan for Canada in search of a better opportunity for their children. Enduring the hardships associated with moving to a foreign country and culture, Taketoshi started the foundation for his family. With positivity and inner strength, he taught his children to work hard and always believe in themselves.
After 65 years Taketoshi decided to pursue his own dreams and finally retire from his career as an Electrical Engineer with Allied Signal. He sold his stocks and purchased a yacht in hopes of travelling the world on a boat. He purchased communication devices and safety equipment. He studied the ways of the ocean and completed several tests, eventually acquiring all the necessary training and licenses to embark on his dream adventure. Sadly, his dream trip never came to fruition.
In 2004 his true battle and test of strength began. He was diagnosed with stomach cancer which then led to bladder cancer.
Despite his condition he always kept his positive nature. He would never admit defeat and never complain. He would hide the tears when the pain was unbearable but he would never ask for more medication.
He was a fighter to the end.
Dad… I think you passed the test of inner strength!
You can travel the world now Dad!
We love you.
We will miss you.
