It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our cherished Suzan Dass on April 19th, 2020 in Caledon Ontario.

Suzan is survived by her beloved husband Romie Singh, as well as her cherished son Alexzander Dass Singh. She will be greatly missed by her mother Samdai Dass, and her sisters Sheila Newman, Vishnee Dass and Anjanee Dass, as well her niece Michelle Mohabir and nephew Anthony Mohabir. Suzan was dearly loved by all of her family located in New York and Holland. She will be greatly missed by her sister-in-laws Everett, Zandra, Ingrid, Lorraine, Meera, Joanne, Sue and Nita. Her brother-in-laws also loved her deeply, Jeff, Mark, Chuck and Alex. Suzan was dearly loved by her nephews and nieces.

Suzan was admired and cherished by all of her family and friends in Trinidad, and will be missed each and every day, in particular by the Beepath family.

Suzan was a very well-respected leader within the Corporate Insurance field at AIG, and will be dearly remembered by all of her co-workers. Len, Diane, Kate, Colleen and Kami were her dear friends, and will cherish their time and remember Suzan fondly.

Among her many talents, which included a proficiency at public-speaking, Suzan was also a very kind, generous and sensitive soul. She was always writing poetry when a moment arose. Her family would often find beautiful pieces of poetry written on envelopes and cards around the family home. Any time family or friends visited her home, Suzan would always ensure they were greeted with the smell of delicious homemade food. She was always fond of wearing bright colours and high heels — always perfectly dressed for the occasion.

Suzan will be dearly missed by whomever she came into contact with. Always remembering her bright smile, cheerful laugh, and caring demeanour — she is a true angel who will enjoy eternal happiness.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to Unicef Canada and Sick Kids Hospital -- two causes that were near and dear to Suzan's heart.

Dear Alex/Romi,

Suzan and I worked together closely from her first interview at AIG until 4 years ago, yet continued to meet and chat in different departments. So glad she joined our work family and what a pleasure to work with. She spoke often of both of you, her NY extended family, her family here and of her great life in Caledon.

Suzan and I both had sons the same age and she often chatted with pride about Alex's confidence, successes and achievements.

I am truly sorry for you loss and wanted to express my appreciation for what I knew as a remarkable person. She was one of the hardest workers I knew, had great integrity and was a strong advocate for her profession.

My deepest condolences,

Catherine

I wish to offer my sincere condolences to Suzan's family.

I was not a close friend. Nevertheless, although most of our interactions were remote and very job-centric, she was so very pleasant that I feel extremely sad by the news of her passing.

I thought it was important to share with you and wish you great courage in these difficult times.
Sincerely,
Brigitte Bourget
