Mrs. Susanna May San Lo Kwok, beloved wife, proud mother and pillar of her family, passed away on Feb 1, 2024, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born in Hong Kong in 1958 to parents Loo Wai Man and Chan Kwan Yu. Susanna graduated from Diocesan Girls’ School and Hong Kong Baptist University in Hong Kong, before moving to Canada in 1986 to build a family with her husband of 38 years, Stephen.
Susanna’s life was defined by her unwavering dedication to her loved ones. She was the cornerstone that her family relied upon, providing boundless support and guidance throughout the years. She selflessly supported her husband’s career and ensured her son had every opportunity to thrive. She poured her heart and soul into her son Sheldon, nurturing his growth and development. Those who were fortunate enough to know Susanna were touched by her kindness, thoughtfulness, grace, and wisdom. She possessed an extraordinary ability to anticipate and solve any challenge that came her way, earning her the admiration and respect of all who crossed her paths.
Susanna found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She was passionate about cooking and baking, often creating delicious meals for her family. Her playful spirit was evident in her love for stuffed animals, finding comfort in their whimsical charm. She enjoyed learning and sharing what she learned with family and friends. She created lasting memories that will be cherished forever.
Susanna shared a special bond with her grandson Franklin, age 3, who remarkably shares her birthday. Susanna doted on Franklin, playing with him and showering him with love and affection at every opportunity, despite facing her own health struggles. Her commitment to his happiness was a testament to her limitless love and strength.
Susanna is survived by her loving husband, Stephen, her son Sheldon and his wife Jiahe, her adored grandson Franklin, as well as her brother Bernard and sister Amy.
Honoring Susanna’s wishes, she was cremated shortly after her passing to rid her body of the cancer cells that caused her pain and suffering. A celebration of her life will be held on March 9, 2024, at Elgin Mills Cemetery, where she will be interred. Visitation will start at 4 pm March 8, 2024, followed by the service at 9:30 am on March 9, 2024 and a lunch reception thereafter at Dragon Legend at 1:30 pm.
Susanna leaves a legacy of love and commitment. Her spirit will live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
