It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of our mother on 14 November 2025, in Toronto following a prolonged illness. Daughter of the late A.P. and Emmie Wanigasekera, she is survived by her brother, Deva Wanigasekera and her sister, Sriyakanthi Warusuvitharana. Mourned by her daughters, Jacintha (Alistair Ross Russell), Samantha and Vishni (the late David Fox ) Peeris and her grandchildren, Finlay, Maya, Kiran, Jack and Araliya. Predeceased by her sister, Sunanda Wijeratne and her brothers, Gamini, Dalton and Anuruddha Wanigasekera and her infant grandson, Caelin Ross Russell.

Visitation will take place from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on 21 November 2025 at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto, followed by visitation at 10:00 am with funeral service at 10:30 am on 22 November 2025.
