In Loving Memory of
Stavroula (Voula) Georgakopoulos

On Monday, May 19, 2026, our beloved Yia Yia Voula passed away peacefully. She leaves this world to be reunited with her cherished son, Nick, and her devoted husband, Tom.

Born on October 13, 1935, in Anogia, Greece, Voula immigrated to Canada in 1952 with hopes of building a brighter future. She later married Tom Georgakopoulos, and together they welcomed their son, Nick, who brought immense joy to their lives.

Voula dedicated herself to her family and worked tirelessly throughout her life, most notably as a seamstress, a craft she practiced with skill, pride, and unwavering commitment.

She endured profound loss with the passing of her husband in 2004 and her son in 2022. Despite these hardships, Voula remained a woman of remarkable strength, grace, and independence.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter in law Franca, grandchildren, Jessica, Jacqueline (Mike), and Thomas, and by her great grandchildren, Brendan, Nathan, Lila, Vera Apollonia, and Nicolo Amadeo. Voula will also be greatly missed by her two brothers Bill and Lou (Julia).

Voula will forever be remembered as a gentle, resilient, and proud woman whose greatest joy was her family. Her love, warmth, and spirit will continue to live on in all who knew her.
