<div itemprop="description">We are saddened to announce that Stevan passed away from a heart attack on July 5th, 2015 at the age of 69. He will be deeply missed by his wife Judy, son Sasha (Kristen), sister Ljiljana, his extended family in Serbia and so very many friends. Family meant everything to Stevan and his friendships were deep, meaningful and long. <br /> <br />Stevan was born in Belgrade, Serbia (former Yugoslavia) and after spending several years in Sweden he immigrated to Canada in 1981 where he met the love of his life, Judy that same year in Vancouver. They were so happy when a son Alexander (Sasha) was born to them in 1989. Stevan was a devoted father and loving husband and would do absolutely anything for his family. <br /> <br />He graduated from University of Belgrade as a Chemical Engineer but after immigrating to Canada in 1981 he developed a keen interest in finance and started his career as a financial advisor in 2000. He formed his own company Celesta Financial and together with Judy he found great satisfaction in helping clients with their financial affairs. <br /> <br />He was an extremely generous man with a great sense of humour and a very quick mind.He enjoyed meeting and talking with people from all over the world. He was very knowledgeable about world affairs and had many intense conversations and debates with all who shared his love of this subject. He was passionate about living a healthy lifestyle and was very active up until his sudden passing. Stevan was a member of the Mississauga Masonic Lodge 524 where he developed many new friendships and grew spiritually in the brotherly environment. <br /> <br />Family and friends will be received at The Simple Alternative, on Sunday, July 12 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow the visitation at 3:00 p.m. <br /> <br />In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Masonic Foundation of Ontario http://www.masonicfoundation.on.ca/. <br />Condolence messages, photos or stories may be shared on the Contribute link of this page.</div>
