Stacey Simeonakis
February 4, 1936 - March 13, 2015
On March 13, 2015, at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, Ontario, Stacey Simeonakis succumbed to prolonged illness at the age of 79. A kind, loving brother, father, chicho and dedo, Stacey is survived by his wife of almost 48 years, Paschalina, children Christina (Charles Martel) and Johnny, and grandson Alexander; sisters Mara (Vangel Davidov) of Skopje, Macedonia, and Olga (George Gogas) of Sarnia, Canada, and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Nikola, Petro and Louis, and sisters-in-law (Petrovitsa) and Olga.
Smart, hardworking and funny, Stacey was born on February 4, 1936, in Statitsa, the northern Greek region of Kastoria. He moved to Canada in 1956, became a citizen in 1964, and settled in Toronto then. He enjoyed the simple things in life: cooking, fishing and spending time with his family. He was loved, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
