Peacefully, with family by her side at West Parry Sound Hospital. Predeceased by husband Tom. Cherished mother of Peter, Debbie (Alek), and Jenny (Cyrille). Lovingly remembered as “Chi Chi” by grandchildren: Dan, Tom and Tim. Fondly remembered by sister-in-law Rosemary (Bill Latimer), and by all her family and friends. A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre, 1535 South Gateway Rd, Mississauga 2 lights south of Eglinton off Dixie Rd (905) 602-1580 on Wednesday August 14, 2013 at 1pm. Visitation one hour prior. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to West Parry Sound Hospital, Canadian Cancer Society or Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation. Special thanks to the Carling Volunteer Fire Department, EMS, and West Parry Sound Hospital Palliative Care teams.
