Sherry Hui-Min Lee (李盧慧敏夫人) passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan surrounded by family and friends after fighting arthritis for over 25 years. She was born February 10, 1951 in Taipei, Taiwan to Chan Hsian and Wang Pin Lu; she was the 2nd of 4 children. A loving wife and mother, she is survived by her husband Kuo-Hsuing Lee (李國雄), her daughter Ruth (Andrew) Leung and her daughter Iris Lee. Also surviving are her mother Wang Pin Lu, her sister Carol Lu and her brother Bob (Susan) Lu.

Growing up in Taiwan, Sherry lived life to the fullest. She was fashionable, loved to eat and enjoyed shopping and dancing with friends. She graduated from Ming Chuan College in the area of business finance and worked at 僑大家具 (Chiao Da Furniture) where she met her husband of 38 years. In 1978, she joined her husband and immigrated to Canada. Together, they started their own family and worked hard to provide the best for their daughters; she worked in banking, opened a restaurant and taught Chinese school.

In 1985, Sherry was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, but she never let it stop her from doing the things she loved. She will always be remembered for her generosity and compassion, her fun-loving nature, her dedication to family, and her faith and courage throughout the years of her illness. She was a blessing to many people who knew her, and she will be dearly missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service in memory of Sherry’s life on Saturday, April 25, 2015.
