It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sherman Esmond Simpson, who left us suddenly on May 15, 2025, at the age of 52.
Born in 1973, Sherman lived a grounded and purposeful life. He was a man of quiet confidence who believed in responsibility, family, and doing what was right. He approached life with consistency and dedication, always showing up when it counted.
Sherman’s light shone brightest when he was surrounded by the people he loved—family gathering, friends dropping by music in the air, and something flavorful sizzling on the grill. He didn’t just enjoy barbecuing—he poured his heart into it. With a pair of tongs in one hand and the perfect song playing nearby, he created more than just meals—he created memories. His backyard became a place of laughter, storytelling, and togetherness. Every gathering was a reflection of who he was: warm, generous, and full of life.
He had an effortless way of making everyone feel at home as if time slowed down just enough to savor each moment. For Sherman, it was never just about food or music—it was about love. The kind you could taste, feel, and hear. The kind that stays with you, long after the smoke fades and the music quiets.
He was a proud and dedicated father to Quentaisha, Taishjon, Rayjon, and Elijah, and husband to Nena, his partner and friend, with whom he shared a deep mutual respect, love and genuine companionship.
Sherman’s love for his parents was profound and unwavering—a steady source of strength and guidance that shaped the man he became. He honored them with deep respect and gratitude, love and carrying their wisdom in his heart every day.
For Sherman, his siblings Andrea, Lance, Anson, Diane, and Clinton were his closest allies and trusted confidants. Their bond was built on years of shared stories, love, challenges, and laughter. He valued their presence deeply and was always ready to offer them his heartfelt support and unwavering commitment. Beyond his immediate family, Sherman embraced his extended family and close friends as an essential part of his life’s tapestry. He cherished every moment spent with them, nurturing those relationships with the same loyalty.
He worked hard, lived with intention, and cared deeply for those around him. His sense of responsibility, reliability, and calm presence made a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
He is survived by his children, Quentaisha, Taishjon, Rayjon, Elijah wife Nena, his loving parents, siblings Andrea, Lance, Anson, Diane, and Clinton, and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Sherman’s love left a mark on every heart he touched. His spirit shines on, bold and unbreakable, living within us all.
Rest in peace, Sherman—you will always be remembered and deeply missed.
