Shawn Patricia Riley-Kennedy, born March 8, 1960 in Sandy Bay, Hanover, Jamaica, passed away peacefully at Brampton Civic Hospital in Ontario, Canada. She is survived by her daughter Tricia, her sister Deneive, and her nephew/son Joshua. Shawn’s parents, Dorosha Malinda Anderson (née Blackhall) & Joseph Riley; her husband Roger; and her brother Wayne predeceased her.

Beloved by many for her kindness, Shawn loved gardening, dancing, and living life to its fullest. After a long and courageous battle with sickle cell anemia, which in turn affected her kidneys, she expressed being ready for The Lord to take her home. Shawn will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and church community. We are comforted, however, that she is now free from pain.
