Sebastian Altobello
February 16, 1924 - April 24, 2014
Sebastian passed away peacefully after a long and full life on April 24, 2014, in his 90th year. Born in Bari, Italy, Sebastian served in World War II alongside British and American allied forces before coming to Canada in 1950. He met his wife, Mary (nee Di Franco) in Toronto and married in 1954. They settled in Mississauga where they raised 3 children together.
Sebastian was a long time employee of Continental Can. After retiring, Sebastian took great pride tending to his vegetable garden and enjoyed taking various trips with Mary. During warm summer evenings, he and Mary loved taking stroll by the lake near their home. Sebastian was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and loved spending time with his family.
He will be remembered for the twinkle in his eyes and the way he made those around him laugh with his dry sense of humour.
Sebastian will be missed by his beloved wife Mary, his children Tom (Nina), Rina (John) and Peter, his granddaughter Kyla and his many friends.
"We’ll use our strength, Dad"
Sebastian’s family would like to offer our deepest gratitude to the staff of Tyndall Seniors Village for their extraordinary care and friendship.
