Sean Michael McPhee
February 17, 1958 - December 19, 2015
Passed away quietly in his home on December 19, 2015.
Born on February 17, 1958, Sean leaves behind his beloved mother, Patricia (Devins) McPhee; his brother, Bruce; his sister, Keira; his sister, Danna her husband, Rob; and Athena; three nephews, Robert, Michael and Harry. He was predeceased by his father, Robert McPhee. His memory will be cherished by his longtime companion, Francis Ruiz.
Sean will be deeply missed by his extended family and close friends, particularly by his longtime friends and colleagues, Denise Byers and Bruce MacTaggart, who provided invaluable support over the last year of his life. The family would like to extend deep gratitude to Lorraine Short of St. Elizabeth Health Care who provided committed nursing care at the end of Sean's life.
Sean will be remembered by his colleagues for his accomplishments in Canadian public policy reform and most importantly, in the reform of Canada's Agreement on Internal Trade.
A memorial and reception is being held January 16, 2016 at McLean House on the grounds of Sunnybrook Hospital. Please contact Bruce McPhee at bruce.mcphee@gmail.com if you wish to attend.
