Scot Hainer
September 8, 1953 - August 23, 2012
It is with heavy hearts that we say good-bye to Scot, beloved son of Dona and Gord Hainer, brother to Patty Hainer and Lee Pearson, Uncle of Keith and Shane Pearson, nephew of John Hildon and the late Colleen Hildon, cousin of Karl Hildon and the late Laura Hildon, grandson to the late Joe and Lena Mulhern, and Gord and Vera Hainer, friend to many. Scot loved his times up at the cottage, especially at Christmas, and he loved spending all day playing video games. Thank you to the former Huronia Regional Centre staff for all their years of looking after Scot, and especially to Vita Community Centre where Scot has lived for the past few years. A special thanks to Melanie, Arlene and Kenny, and all the staff, too many to name, for making his life so enjoyable these last few years. Thank you also the the Richmond Hill McKenzie Health Centre for taking such good care of him (especially Nurse Nancy).
Scot is being cremated and a small service just for family and those who knew Scot will be held at the Simple Alternative Funeral Centre, details below. Scattering of the ashes at Mt. Pleasant by family only to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Scot's home, Vita Community Services: http://www.villacharities.com/main.asp?View=Donate, the CNIB or Epilepsy Canada.
