<div itemprop="description">Dear friends and family,<br /><br />It is with great sadness that we announce the passing away of Sarika Handa, age 41, of Oakville, Ontario, on Sunday, October 5, 2014, in a tragic motor vehicle accident.<br /><br />Sarika was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on April 4, 1973 and was raised in Mississauga, Ontario. She was the daughter of Avinash Kumar and Santosh Achla Kalra, wife of Vick Handa and beloved mother of Simran Victoria and Joshua Arun Handa. Sarika also leaves behind her siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.<br /><br />Sarika was thoughtful, loving, patient and devoted to her husband and children. Her friends and family describe her as a beautiful compassionate woman with a gentle soul, sparkling eyes and an infectious smile. She was kind hearted, selfless, fun loving, giving, empathetic, and caring to all that knew her. Sarika enjoyed spending time with family and friends, travelling, reading, shopping and meeting new people.<br /><br />The funeral and cremation will be held at 12 noon on Sunday, October 12th at Meadowvale Visitation Centre, 7732 Mavis Road, Brampton, Ontario.
