It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Saeed Ghatan on August 4, 2026, at the age of 93, surrounded by the love of his family.

Saeed was born on June 1, 1933, in Hamedan, Iran. He dedicated his career to civil engineering and, in 1994, immigrated to Canada, where he built a life centered on family, faith, and service to others.

He was the beloved husband of Farideh Rahimzadeh, a devoted father of four children, and a proud grandfather of three grandchildren.

A faithful member of the Bahá’í Faith, Saeed lived with kindness, humility, and compassion. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family, who were the greatest joy of his life.

Saeed will be remembered for his gentle spirit, wisdom, generosity, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
