S. Leonard Elsztein
September 18, 1939 - July 16, 2013
Passed peacefully at Sunnybrook HSC on Tuesday, July 16th at the age of 73.
Devoted husband to Ildi for 42 years. Beloved father to Sheri, Erika and her husband Drew. Proud 'Papa' to Paige and Jack. He will also be missed by his sister Diana, her husband Alex and nephews Nicolas and Daniel and extended family in Argentina.
He had a passion for family, friends and good food. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren, they were his 'lifeline' as he would say. He looked forward to his annual trips to Niagara-on-the-Lake and their weekly 'scooter rides' for gelato. He enjoyed socializing with friends old and dear as well as new ones he made along the way. He will be missed by all.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the York Cemetery and Visitation Centre, 160 Beecroft Rd., North York (north of Sheppard Ave., west of Yonge St., 416-221-3404) on Friday, July 19, 2013. Gathering from 1pm – 2pm, with a Celebration Of Life to follow.
