She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 66 years, Helmut. Her children, Axel (Lesley), Peter (Tammy), Ilona (Jamie) and many grandkids and their partners.

I was sad to hear this. Ruth was my favorite cousin.

Sending heartfelt condolences to the Hotzwik family during this difficult time. I have always felt a strong connection with my cousin Ruth, as we shared the same birthday. I have fond memories of Ruth and Helmut's road trip to the West Coast upon retirement and the wonderful time we had with them as we travelled through BC's wine country in the Okanagan, and all the way to Calgary where we had a final meal together before parting ways, as they headed home.

Ruth was such a lovely and very kind person. Ruth, Helmut and children were very much liked by the McAuliffe family. We were fortunate to have had them as neighbours on Harvard Ave. Ruth was so proud of her children and grandchildren and wrote about them in her Christmas cards and sent pictures of them. We were all very sad to hear about her passing. Our condolences to all the family! A very special lady, for sure!
