Russell Tombs
January 30, 1927 - December 24, 2015
Passed away peacefully at Sherwood Court long term care facility on December 24, 2015 aged 88. Predeceased by his sister Hazel (Bushey) he is survived by his wife Delphine Ann (Morrison), daughters Janet (Steven Lawrence) and Susan, grandchildren Sarah (Chris Lahaie), Katherine and Peter, great grandchildren Lucien, Marcus and Alexander.
Russell Ernest Tombs was born in Toronto Ontario January 30, 1927 son of the late Ernest William Eynon and Jessie Emma (Blaber) Tombs. A member of IBEW, Russell was an electrician and worked for many years at Toronto International Airport's former Terminal 1. Russ was very energetic and loved playing hockey, golfing, skiing and archery. He was a pilot and airplane enthusiast. He enjoyed photography and his many wildlife photos hung on the wall of their home. He loved animals and was a true artist and craftsman and will be missed by family and friends.
Cremation has taken place. Private interment will follow at North York Cemetery.
