It is with profound sadness that we announce Ross passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Ajax on December 7, 2025, at the age of 82, surrounded by his loving family.

Ross was a beloved husband and best friend to Judy for over 60 years. He was a proud and caring father to Kristin (Danny), Greg (Annick), and Shawn (Shelley), and a generous poppa to Jacob, Tyler, Evan, Brody, Caleb, Alexander, Amanda and Cameron — each of whom brought him immense joy and stories he loved to share.
Ross was a dear brother to Patricia (Don) and Glenna (Don), and a cherished brother-in-law to Ken (Marj) and Deb (Bill). He cherished the time he spent with his many friends and family.

A respected teacher and principal of Toronto Board of Education, Ross had a gift for making people feel seen and uniquely valued and he left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path. Ross will miss spending time by the water whether at his cottage in Bancroft or going to Myrtle Beach.

Visitation will be held at THORNTON FUNERAL CENTRE
1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa (South of Taunton Road and off of Dryden Blvd, 905-579-6787)
on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. until the funeral service in the chapel at noon.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the caring team at Lakeridge Health Ajax, Dr Paulovic, Dr. Philteos and the many friends who offered strength and kindness during this time.
