Rosa Garramone
August 29, 1924 - April 6, 2015
Rose Garramone – Rose fought a valiant and dignified battle with cancer. A strong and determined woman who lived her life with grace and dignity, generosity of spirit and a wonderful sense of humour. Rose passed away peacefully at 10:00 am on April 6, 2015 with support and love all around.
Born in Toronto on Aug 29, 1924 Rosa Antonia Garramone (nee D’Alessandro), Rose was in her 91st year. The third of five children born to Grace and Antonio D’Alessandro.
Rose derived pleasure from the simple things in life. Raising her children was her proudest accomplishment. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. For Rose every day was Family day. She enjoyed cottage life and travelling with her family. Rose loved going for long walks and was happiest when she was with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her generosity, kindness and positive attitude will be her legacy.
Devoted Mother and best friend to Carol (Tony), Anthony (Carolyn), John. Loving and proud Grandma to Josette (Michael) and Jennifer (Auvi) adoring great-grandmother to Morgyn and Alessa. Rose will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, many friends and neighbours.
The family will receive friends at Meadowvale Visitation Centre, 7732 Mavis Road, Brampton on Friday, April 10th, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with a Funeral Mass to follow at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church at 2:00 pm In lieu of flowers donations in Rose’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
