With deep love and gratitude, we announce the passing of Ronel Ramirez Manabat on January 17, 2026. He departed this world peacefully, surrounded by the family he cherished so deeply.
Ronel was the devoted husband of Rosanna, a loving and proud father to Nathan and Arianna, and a constant companion to the family’s beloved dog, Pogi, whose presence brought him comfort and joy. His family, human and four-legged, was the center of his world and his greatest blessing.
A man of strong Christian faith, Ronel lived with humility, quiet strength, and trust in God. His faith guided how he loved, led, and served others, and it sustained him through his final journey.
Ronel was a devoted Freemason and exemplary leader within the Craft. A member of Remembrance Lodge No. 586 GRC, he served with distinction as Past Master and later as Past District Deputy Grand Master of the Toronto Don Valley District. His leadership, tireless labors, and commitment to Masonic principles left an enduring legacy within his Lodge, the District, and the Craft.
Beyond his many roles of service, Ronel embraced life fully. He had a deep love for golf, and found simple pleasure in a good cigar and a fine whisky, especially when shared with friends and family. In his final year, Ronel was able to joyfully check off many items from his bucket list; traveling through Europe, sailing on a Mediterranean cruise, and journeying across Canada aboard VIA Rail’s The Canadian. He often said that crossing the country by train was “the best experience of my life,” a memory he treasured deeply.
Ronel will be remembered for his kindness, wisdom, gentle humor, and unwavering devotion to God, family, and Freemasonry. Though his absence is profoundly felt, his life was rich, full, and beautifully lived, and his legacy will continue in the lives and hearts of all who knew him.
