It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert "Bob " Michael Bailey at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, at 89 years old. Beloved husband of 62 years to Barbara and cherished father to Karin (Glenn) and Bryan (Jodie). His only grandchild Claire will forever miss her Poppy, with whom she shared an extra special loving relationship.

Bob was born in Toronto, the second youngest of 8 children to parents Thomas and Selena. He met the love of his life Barb in 1960 through work. Barb had to leave her job so that they could continue their relationship. It worked! They were married in 1963 and remained happily married until Bob left this world.

Bob and Barb welcomed Karin in 1965 (the best Christmas gift ever!). Bryan followed in 1969. Fatherhood was the greatest joy to Bob. He also loved being Uncle Bob to everyone who came along, whether they were family or friend. He was always generous with his time, and he told the best stories and the worst jokes. He would always listen, and he made everyone feel seen.

He will be greatly missed by so many.

Family and Friends will be received at THE SIMPLE ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL CENTRE- MISSISSAUGA 1535 South Gateway Road (at Dixie Road, two lights south of Eglinton) 905-602-1580 on Friday, September 12, 2025, for a Visitation from 1-2 p.m. A Catholic service will follow at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to Princess Margaret Hospital in Bob's honour would be preferred. Dad appreciated all the work that they did for Mom during her cancer treatment there last year.
