It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing away of Robert Longuinhos Menezes on June 16,2014 at the age of 93 in Mississauga, Ont, Canada.
Born in Goa, India, to Natividade and Maria Pauline Menezes, Robert leaves behind his sorrowful and loving wife Mary Angela (Ethel) Menezes and children Oscar/Shirley, Victor/Michelle, and Felix/Verediana. He was also an affectionate grandfather to Kimberley, Kirk, Angelica and Angelique. Robert was also the younger brother of the late Sacru Menezes.
Robert spent his childhood in Goa, and after finishing his studies, joined the Seminary to become a priest. Somewhere along the road he left that vocation, to get married and move to Bombay where he worked with the Government in the department of Overseas Communication Services from where he eventually retired as a Deputy Traffic Manager. Robert then devoted most of his time with the Don Bosco Past Pupil Association where he was the Secretary for more than 15 years helping to organize functions and maintaining contacts.
His last few years were spent in Canada and the U.S. along with his wife in the company of his children and grandchildren.
